ESAB is very pleased to announce that City Synergy in Brighton and Sound Tennis Sussex have voted at their AGM’s to become part of ESAB.
City Synergy is a strong group that offers social activities for people with sight loss across the city of Brighton and Hove. They have been operating very successfully for quite some time but felt that a direct connection with a larger organisation would offer them practical support with organisational and administrative procedures. ESAB are very pleased to be able to help them and can assure members that City Synergy will remain exactly as it is to the outside world, continuing to provide great services and social activities.
For more information on City Synergy, please go to their website at www.citysynergy.org.uk
Sound Tennis Sussex has been growing over the last few years, especially in Brighton and Hove and are now expanding out into Sussex. They felt that the support of a larger organisation would benefit them and again, ESAB is happy to help. We have always been part of The Sound Tennis and assisted them with some initial grants. In the future we will support them administratively and look at ways to help them with funding. Their intention is to spread across Sussex so they can put together a league.
More information about Sound Tennis Sussex can be found on their website www.soundtennissussex.org.uk.
Daniel Brookbank, CEO of ESAB said ‘both City Synergy and Sound Tennis Sussex offer great opportunities to Blind and Partially Sighted People across Brighton and Hove and the wider area and we are only too pleased to be able to help them. Social interaction along with exercise and wellbeing are often overlooked, especially for disabled people, and these two groups work hard to counter that. ESAB too feels strongly that isolation is a scourge in our modern society so to be able to assist two organisations working against it is why we are here’.
If you would like to know more about either group please visit their websites or telephone ESAB HQ on 01323 832 252.
